I am Roxanne Selby, a commercial disputes solicitor advising businesses on complex and sensitive disputes, often where legal, regulatory, commercial, and reputational considerations intersect. I provide clear, pragmatic advice, working with clients to manage risk early where possible and progressing matters through to trial and beyond where litigation is unavoidable.
I have advised on disputes carrying significant commercial exposure. My experience includes acting for corporates involved in the Grenfell litigation; advising international businesses on complex contractual and distribution disputes; and resolving shareholder and director conflicts. These matters demand sound judgement, rapid assimilation of complex factual and legal issues, and the ability to operate effectively under pressure.
Alongside my commercial litigation practice, I have a strong focus on dispute readiness and the strategic use of legal technology. Before qualifying as a solicitor, I held senior roles within information and technology businesses, and I draw heavily on that experience both in advising clients and contributing to firm-wide initiatives.
Outside my legal work, I am a 2nd Dan Black Belt in Goju Ryu Karate. The discipline, resilience, and mental clarity developed through long-term training inform how I approach dispute resolution, particularly high-pressure situations.
I welcome substantive conversations with clients and peers dealing with disputes in challenging commercial environments.
Given I am currently busy in private practice, you can catch more up-to-date insights on my LinkedIn Profile.
